Adele broke down on stage in Antwerp last night after she announced that she was dedicating her show to the victims of the Orlando shooting. The Someone Like You singer was performing a concert in Antwerp, Belgium on Sunday night at the Sportpaleis arena. Adele, who is only 27 years old, described members of the LGBTQ community as soulmates and that she was ‘really moved’ by the shocking tragedy which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Adele wasn’t the only high-profile individual that came in in support of the Orlando shooting. Harry Potter author J K Rowling said that she is heartbroken over the death of one of the victims who worked at the Potter themed attraction in Orlando. She tweeted a photo of the man along with the quote ‘Luis Vielma worked on the Harry Potter ride at Universal.’ Many friends of the man responded to Rowling expressing their thanks for her tweet and saying that she would have loved the man had she had the chance to meet him in person.
Other celebrities such as Kim Kardashian took to social media to express their shock and condolences to the victim’s families. This tragedy came only days after the former star of The Voice, Christina Grimmie, was also shot dead in Orlando when she was greeting fans after a concert in the city.
