Tomlinson’s charge decision set back 2 weeks

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson faces an extended wait as the decision over whether to prosecute over his airport outburst continues. The singer was arrested after he became violent towards a member of the paparazzi and also a group of fans when they mobbed him in a Los Angeles airport.

The hearing to decide if he should be charged or not was set to take place today but has been pushed back by two weeks leaving the star in limbo for another 14 days. An official statement from the Attorney’s office said ‘A filing decision will not be made today. Our prosecutors are still reviewing the case.’

The singer’s lawyer maintains that the star was provoked and was acting in self-defense of himself and his girlfriend. The official statement read ‘The paparazzi provoked and caused the altercation that occurred with Louis at the airport. This is not the first or last time that a paparazzi has created an altercation with a celebrity.’ Speaking about the event Tomlinson said in a statement that he wasn’t sure if he pushed the paparazzi to the floor or not. ‘I may have taken him down, I’m not sure, but I remember we both fell to the floor.’

After the altercation with the photographer, Tomlinson saw that his girlfriend was being harassed by a group of girls and went to her defence.
