Ex-manager claims Depp is fed lines through earpiece

Johnny Depp’s ex-managers have claimed that the Hollywood actor is fed lines through an earpiece so that he doesn’t have to remember his lines. The revelation was revealed in court documents that have been filed in relation to an ongoing battle between Depp and his former management.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star is suing his managers for mishandling his money and they are countersuing him. One of the more bizarre claims they are making is that he spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to have sound engineers read him his lines while he was on set. The document claims that the actor has used the method “for years to feed him lines during film production.’ A source added ‘Depp insisted that this sound engineer is kept on yearly retainer so that he no longer had to memorise his lines.’

A statement from the actor’s team has rebuffed the claims, adding that the action resembles that of guilty people. ‘This is how guilty people respond when confronted with the detailed results of a nine-month legal and forensic investigation conducted by four firms.’

The managers claim that Depp has a compulsive spending habit and that he was spending large amounts of money on various unnecessary things. They have said that he spent $1.2m a year on a personal, on-call doctor and also bought ludicrous amounts of expensive wines.
