Father of three pens open letter to Grande following Manchester bombing

A father of three girls has penned an open letter to Ariana Grande in the wake of the Manchester bombings. Patrick Millsaps, who has three teenage daughters, wrote to the Grammy award-winner, urging Grande to ‘take care of you first.’ He said ‘You have been a part of our family for years. On occasion, your songs may have stayed on the radio AFTER I have dropped the girls off at school.’

He went on to express that Grande was in no way responsible for the bombing. He wrote ‘You are no more responsible for the actions of an insane coward who committed an evil act in your proximity than you would be for a devastating natural disaster or acts of morons near your hotel.’

After suspending the rest of her tour, the father urged Grande to spend some time with her friends and family following the devastating attack on Monday in which 22 people were killed. ‘Spend time with your God, you family and your friends who will give you space and support when you need it.’

Grande flew back to the United States following the devastating attack on Monday night. A source told E News ‘This has really traumatised her. She has a really big support system and has been leaning on a few key people.’ Grande’s team were quick to share their sorrow on social media following the attack. ‘Tonight, our hearts are broken. Words cannot express our sorrow for the victims and families harmed in this senseless attack.’
