Liam slams brother Noel for missing Manchester benefit concert

Liam Gallagher has slammed his brother Noel for not attending the one Love concert held in Manchester yesterday. Rumours were rife that the pair would reunite for a special performance which was being held in aid of people affected by the bombing two weeks ago. However, the audience were shocked when Liam took to the stage without his brother Noel.

Afterwards he tweeted “I’d like to apologise for my brother’s absence last night very disappointed.” Liam also thanked fans for an “amazing night” which was held at the Old Trafford cricket ground in the south area of Manchester. Liam added that he thought his brother, who was abroad, should have got on a plane to come back and perform with him to dedicate songs to those who were involved in the terrorist attack. He was quick to add this was not about Oasis but about trying to help people who have been through a difficult time.

The BBC contacted Noel Gallagher’s representative who released a statement saying  ”Sadly, Noel will not be at the concert this weekend. ”He’s been out of the country on a long-standing family trip since before the concert was announced and is unable to attend.” Noel and Liam are from the Manchester area and rose to fame with it like Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back In Anger. They have had several high-profile feuds over the years but have, until recently, seemed to put their difficult past behind them.
