Headly was previously married to actor John Malkovich between 1982 and 1988. It was in this year that she found fame in the film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels which also starred Michael Cain and Steve Martin. Headly was born in Connecticut in 1955. She first trained as a ballet dancer before going on to study at the famous High School of Performing Arts in New York.
Headly landed several supporting roles in film, television and theatre before rising to fame in the 1980s. In recent years she appeared in films such as Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Comeback Season and Don Jon. After being married to actor John Malkovich for four years in the 1980s she went on to work with her former husband in 2003 when she starred in his production of Arms and the Man with Kevin Kline in New York.
