Singer Charlotte Church suffers miscarriage

Charlotte Church has announced that she has lost her unborn child just weeks after revealing to the world that she was pregnant with her first child. A spokesperson for Church and her partner, Johnny,  posted on her Twitter that the family are currently grieving and request that their privacy is respected at this difficult time. It is thought that the baby was due in November putting Charlotte at around 16 weeks pregnant at the time which she lost the child.

It was only earlier this year that Charlotte revealed that she would consider having more children, despite already having two older kids with her previous partner Gavin Henson. She said ‘I’m really happy with my dude. He’s lush, he’s so smart and he really looks after me.’ She added ‘I don’t know. I’d never rule out anything. Never say never.’

Charlotte found international fame at just 11 years old and had her first two children when she was in her early twenties. She now spends most of her time at home in Wales and lives a life largely away from the spotlight. In an interview with the Guardian, the singer described her life as very domesticated. ‘I love jet-washing. There are members of my family who are ill at the moment so generally, I’m running around. We’ve got two dogs. We travel. And we just try to have lots of fun.’
