Chester Bennington’s wife opens up about the death of her husband

It’s just over a week since Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington took his own life and his widow, Talinda Bennington, has spoken out about her grief. Speaking to E News she said that she has no idea how she can move on after losing the love of her life.

In the statement, she compared losing Chester to a Shakespearean tragedy. ‘One week ago, I lost my soul mate and my children lost their hero—their Daddy. We had a fairytale life and now it has turned into some sick Shakespearean tragedy. How do I move on?’ She continued saying that the only thing that she knows how to do continue raising her children with all the love that she has left.

Talinda also expressed her thanks to everybody who sent messages of support and said that she shares their feeling at this desperately sad time. ‘I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well. My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive.’

Bennington killed himself eight days ago after suffering from a recent bout of mental health difficulties. His best friend Chris Cornell, who was a member of the band Soundgarden, killed himself earlier this year.
