Cara Delevigne is the latest women to open up over Weinstein abuse

Cara Delevingne is the latest in a long line of women to come out and accuse the Hollywood producer, Harvey Weinstein, of sexual assault. The actress and model said that he encouraged her to kiss him and also requested that she kiss another woman. The New Yorker reported yesterday that a total of 13 different women have come forward to say they were sexually assaulted by the Hollywood producer.

Gwenyth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie also said that Weinstein made inappropriate passes at them when they were younger and starting out their careers. A spokesperson for Harvey has said ‘any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr Weinstein. He has not been charged with any crimes.’ Neither actress gave details of what happened but Julie said it was a ‘bad experience’ and promised ‘never to work with him again.’

Delevigne posted on her Instagram, describing the encounter she had with Weinstein. ‘The director left the meeting and Harvey asked me to stay and chat with him. As soon as we were alone he began to brag about all the actresses he had slept with and how he had made their careers and spoke about other inappropriate things of a sexual nature.’

She continued ‘He then invited me to his room. I quickly declined and asked his assistant if my car was outside. She said it wasn’t and wouldn’t be for a bit and I should go to his room. At that moment I felt very powerless and scared but didn’t want to act that way hoping that I was wrong about the situation.’
