We all loved her as Rachel in Friends and now we adore Jennifer Aniston even more, if that’s possible, after she donated $1 million to the Porto Rico disaster relief. It is reported that she has split her money between the American Red Cross and also Ricky Martin’s foundation which aims to help the survivors of the hurricane which destroyed much of the island and killed 43 people.
Ricky Martin tweeted his thanks to the actress for her generous donation to the cause. ‘Jennifer Aniston U R amazing Thanx 4 donating $500k for our #PuertoRico relief fund We will never forget. U R saving lives Jenn #Allin4PR,.’ A source also revealed that Aniston in genuinely concerned at the lack of action the freak weather events which swept across the Caribbean and the USA some weeks ago. ‘She is concerned that so much is still needed to be done for the victims of these recent hurricanes, especially Puerto Rico where there is still no power to most of the island.’
Anito is not the only star to donate to the cause, Jennifer Lopez has already donated a million dollars, with Daddy Yankee also matching the amount given by the two Jennifers. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the hit show Hamilton, has been incredibly vocal about the need for the country to support the victims of the hurricane. He recently organised and released a charity single called ‘Almost Like Praying.’
