Mariah Carey has further postponed her Christmas tour over health issues. She announced on Friday that more dates on her All I Want for Christmas Is You Tour would be canceled just days after she had to postpone several shows in the coming days due to a respiratory infection troubling the star. It is hoped that she will return to the stage in New York on 2nd December.
In a statement on social media, Carey thanked fans for their concern and wished them a happy Thanksgiving. ‘I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones; it’s certainly nice to remember what we are grateful for! Like most, I’m thankful for my overall health… for which I need a bit more time to get right. Doctors have ordered a few extra days of rest before I can finally fly to New York and take the stage for my Christmas Tour.’
Mariah is a regular performer at Christmas after her song All I Want For Christmas became a festive classic back in 1994.
Carey was married to TV presenter Nick Cannon and the pair have two children together. The pop star was also linked to the billionaire James Packer. The two announced their engagement in January last year but revealed they had split just 10 months later.
