The ex-girlfriend of Zayn Malik, Gigi Hadid, has spoken out in support of the star after the revelation that his anxiety became so severe that he had to pull out of a concert. The former One Direction star, 23, was forced to pull out of the Capital FM concert in London after suffering from the crippling mental illness. Malik released a statement which read ”With the magnitude of the event I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career,’
Gigi was quick to come out in support of Zayn on social media. She said ”Z – I’ve seen the battles you go through and the way you fight to get to a place that allows you to get up there for your fans.’ She went on to say that he was very brave and that his experiences would only make him better as a performer. Though the couple recently separated, Gigi posted a cryptic message on Facebook which seemed to suggest that she still had feelings for the singer.
It seems that the star is clearly struggling at the moment and wrote a heartfelt, open letter to his fans expressing the seriousness of his debilitating condition. He expressed that although he has suffered from the condition for some time now he said that ‘I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career.’
