It was only recently that concerns for Sinead O’Connor’s mental health were raised after the Irish singer went missing from her home. Fears have been raised again tonight after reports suggest that she is suicidal and threatening to kill herself.
The police in Chicago, which is where O’Connor is believed to be residing, were contacted by the police in Ireland after her family contacted them about the singer’s welfare. Apparently, she had told her family that she was going to jump off of a bridge somewhere in the Chicago area. Although police have not launched an active campaign to find her, they have been fully briefed and told to look for out for the Nothing Compares to You singer.
Sinead is believed to be suffering from depression after rifts have occurred between her and her family members. In a shocking outburst on social media after the star went missing last month she made several accusations about members of her family. She said ‘you tell that evil son of ours that a person who suffers from two f***ing medical conditions of which the symptoms include suicidal compulsion isn’t being manipulative if while he is being a f***ing chauvinist bully like his grandfather they say they’re going to or feel like killing themselves.’
