He is known for being a heartthrob on the medical TV drama Grey’s Anatomy but it seems like all is not going so well in real life for Kevin McKidd. The actor who has been married to his wife for almost 17 years has announced his divorce from his long-term partner. According to a source she wants ‘joint custody of their teenage kids, and she wants spousal support.’ The pair got married in 1999 and they have two children together aged 16 and 14. The Scottish actor and his family recently gained American citizenship.
McKidd is most famous for his role as Owen in Grey’s Anatomy though he has starred in a string of films since his debut in Trainspotting back in 1996. His character Owen had the most famous relationship on the hit show along with Sandra Oh’s character Christina Yang. When Oh left Kevin admitted that he thought that he might be axed from the show but he went on to find love elsewhere. But after another tumultuous relationship, Kevin spoke of how he wants Own to find happiness. He said ‘Owen went through a lot with Christina. She didn’t want to give him a baby, they had a lot of struggles, and then she left essentially. So I think he deserves to be happy, don’t you?’
