The Gilmore Girls was one of the most successful television shows in the last two decades and fans were heartbroken when the series was taken off the air back in 2007. However, they don’t have to wait too much longer for the return of the hit series which is set to launch this November.
The relaunch of the show sees the return of many of the original cast embers including Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as the hilarious and lovable mother and daughter duo. Melissa McCarty and Scott Patterson will also be back on our screen when the series starts on the 25th November.
There is a change in format for the new season. The show will consist of four, 90-minuet long, episodes which each document a different season of the year. The trailer for the new season attracted over a million hits on social media in the first 24 hours. The series will also address the death of Lory’s father, follwing the real life passing of actor Edawrd Herrmann back in 2014.
Speaking at a press confrence about the new season Graham said ‘everything was like, ‘Oh, here’s the chemistry we had from the very first day we met,’ and it was just a joy to revisit.’ However, the shows creator Amy Sherman-Palladino had some choice words for those who liked to spoil the endings now episodes are released all at once on streaming platforms. She said that they ‘ needed therapy.’ Ouch!
