According to a source, police were called to the actor’s Las Vagas home where he was found unresponsive upon arrival, no official comment has been made about how the actor and politcal commentator died.

Doyle had an interesting life. He was adopted when he was a baby after spending the first months of his life in an orphanage. After growing up in New Jersey he went on to receive a degree in Aeronautics and had several jobs including working in the baking industry and as a corporate pilot.

He then moved into acting, landing a role in the 1990’s hit, Babylon 5. This was to be his most high-profile acting job before he become involved in politics and even ran for a congressional district in 2005.

The show’s creator, J. Michael Straczynski, had this to say about the passing of the actior. ‘He was funny, and dangerous, and loyal, and a prankster, and a pain in the ass; he was gentle and cynical and hardened and insightful and sometimes as dense as a picket fence…and his passing is a profound loss to everyone who knew him, especially those of us who fought beside him in the trenches of Babylon 5.’
