Corden set to move to prime-time

After his appearance on Bradway in the smash play, One Man Two Governors James Corden has become one the biggest stars in America. He has his own late night chat show and also hosted the Tony Awards earlier this year. However, it seems that the funny Brit could soon get the highest accolade of all, his own prime time show.

The CBS network, which currently hosts James’ late night chat show, are reported to be in talks about moving him to a prime-time slot. Executives fear if they don’t do this then another network will make him an offer he can’t refuse and they’ll lose one of their current biggest names. A source said ‘James has become one of the most wanted men in Hollywood he has been getting all sorts of offers and CBS doesn’t want to risk losing him.’

Though his current show airs after midnight, meaning that the ratings are much lower than they would be in an earlier slot, his online videos of various skits have gone viral around, a clear sign that James is incredibly popular. Carpool Karaoke is the most successful and well-loved past of his current show. It has attracted stars such as Adele, Mariah Carey, and even the First Lady Michelle Obama.
