We all loved her in films Working Girl and Crazy in Alabama but seems that behind closed doors Melanie Griffith is struggling with her personal life. After recently separating from her husband of 18 years, Antonio Banderas, she has admitted that she feels lonely, bored and confused.
In an interview with People magazine, the actress said ‘I’m having a very introspective time right now,’ before adding ‘t’s an interesting time. It’s just sort of nice. My kids are all great. They’re beautiful people.’ She also said that part of the reason for her feeling lonely is that her children have grown up and left home, before saying that she also feels like she needs to fly the nest.
The Working Girl actress admitted that she would like to find love again but she won’t be doing it through online dating or by using any of the multiple dating apps available, preferring the traditional way of meeting somebody. ‘Looking across a crowded room, right? Isn’t that the thing? I’m not really looking, I’m just being.
The star also spoke of the limited roles available for older women in Hollywood. Saying that while her young daugther, Dakota Johnson is currently landing lost of work, her actress mother Tippi Hedren no longer gets offered any interesting parts.
