They’r the power couple of music, so it’s no surprise that Beyonce and Jay Z are making all the headlines after thus year’s interesting video music awards. One of the talking points of the ceremony was Beyonce’s multiple outfit changes – the singer treated fans to eight dresses across the evening. In stark contrast to the Lemonade singer, husband Jay Z was looking in casual in just his one emsamble, a suit with a white t-shirt.
It wasn’t all about the clothes, Beyonce’s music was very much at the centre of the awards after the star picked up a amazing eight awards, the same number of costume changes that she had. Three of the awards wins were for best video, best female video and best long formation video. Speaking while accepting one of her awards she said ‘I’d like to thank Jonas Auckland for directing such an amazing video. I’d like to Thank MTV for honouring my video. My fans, I love y’all. The eight wins firmly cement Beyonce’s place in history as she has now overtaken Modanna to be the most celebrated artists of all time at the event which was held on Sunday evening.
