Kate and William demand increased privacy

Britain’s most famous couple have been making the headlines again, this time for their proposed refurbishments to their exclusive London pad. Prince William and Kate Middleton have requested to royal officials that a wall of conifers be erected around Kensington Palace to give the future King and Queen some much-desired privacy.

However, there is much trepidation around the planting of the bushes to provide the young couple, who are mother and father to Prince George and Princess Charlotte, because of the price tag. The bill of over $20,000 would have to be picked up by the British taxpayer – a hard thing for struggling people to swallow given the couple’s extensive personal wealth.

Willam and Kate are set to make Kensington Palace in London their permanent home, relocating from their Norfolk bad so that little Prince George can start school in the area later this year. The Palace, which is technically owned by the public, is home to several other high-profile members of the royal family and was once the official residence of William’s mother – Diana Princess of Wales.
