She was spotted at the premiere of her new film in Cambodia this weekend, but now Angelina Jolie has given her first interview since her split from Brad Pitt. In her emotional account, she told the press that although it was a hard time they will always remain a family. When asked about her personal life for an interview with BBC News she responded ‘I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and we are a family, and we will always be a family.’
The Tomb Raider actress was visibly emotional while giving her response, adding that ‘it was very difficult.’ Despite the bitter custody battle which ensued after her separation from Pitt, Jolie maintained that they are a family and would continue to work together. ‘We are and forever will be a family and so that is how I am coping. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.’ The actress is in Cambodia for the premiere of her new film, First They Killed My Father, which documents the plight of people in Cambodia under the Pol Pot regime.
