As if there wasn’t enough drama at the Oscars last week, the strange goings on continued at an awards ceremony in Germany last night when a fraudster pretended to be actor Ryan Gosling.
The bizarre event unfolded at the Goldene Kamera Awards, which primarily celebrate German cinema, but also play host to some Hollywood stars who are nominated in certain categories. Everything seemed to go going to plan until comedians Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf decided to make the evening a little more interesting.
After setting up a totally fake acting agency, they convinced the organisers of the awards that they could get Ryan Gosling to attend as long as he was sure to win an award. The host then proceeded to introduce Gosling to an excited audience. When ‘Gosling’ walked out on stage there was a confused look on the faces of Hollywood stars such as Nicole Kidman and Colin Farell. The host failed to spot that anything was amiss.
The comedian then went on to make a very strnage accepteance speech ‘Good evening, I am Ryan Gosling!
