He is known for being an outrageous character and it seems that Boy George is still as controversial as ever is his advancing years. The singer has spoken out about his role as a judge on The Voice Australia, branding the other judges ‘crazy’.
Speaking to The Telegraph the singer said ‘I look at all the other coaches and think ‘am I the only normal one here?’ He added ‘I’m probably quite deluded but you can’t help but think “am I as weird as them?’ George has also spoken about how he has started to study philosophy in recent in years in a bid to adopt a more zen lifestyle.
George has admitted in that past that his time as a pop star in the seventies and eighties was chaotic and even bordered on dangerous at times. However, he has claimed that he is grown into himself in recent years. ‘Life is about growing into who you are…For the most part, I’ve been pretty clumsy. I feel like I’ve been in a pretty good period in the last nine years and I feel it’s about learning to like yourself.’
Boy George was also close friends with George Michale who died on Christmas Day and has spoken in the past about the tragedy of losing him at such a young age.
