Singer Katy Perry has topped the charts once again with her new album, Witness. The new release went straight to the top of the Billboard charts making this her third album which has gone to number one.
The Firework singer has been hitting the headlines a lot over the past few weeks. Perry broke down discussing her mental health while doing a 96-hour live stream to promote her new record. She wept while speaking about the trouble she has had with alcohol as well as suffering from suicidal thoughts in the past.
Just last week Katy Perry became the first person in the world to hit 100 million followers on the social media site Twitter. They celebrated by posting a compilation of her tweets which she has posted since first joining back in 2009. She is closely followed by singer Justin Beiber and Barack Obama who have 97 and 91 million followers.
However, it is thought that many of the followers of the super-famous like Perry, Beiber and Obama might actually be fake. An audit of their accounts shows that as many as two-thirds of them might be linked to fake accounts. These are often used to try and make a Tweeter more popular than they actually are and can be bought on the internet for a small fee.
