Angelia Jolie had a busy day on Tuesday. After giving an impassioned speech at the London School of Economics she headed to Buckingham Palace to have an exclusive look around – despite the fact that no members of the family being present. The Hollywood star was joined by her son as she left her hotel at made her way to the royal residence.
Jolie was looking calm and collected as she headed to the most famous house in London, in stark contrast to earlier in the day when she said she was ‘feeling butterflies’ about speaking at the university. She was there to give a lecture on the institution’s new MA course about the impact of war on women.
Just before the speech, she told a London newspaper ‘I’m a little nervous, feeling butterflies. I hope I do well. This is very important to me.’ Those who heard the speech said it was wonderful and it went down very well in the room with the students, professors and policy makers.
Angelina will be an active participant on the course and will even be able to conduct her own research into the effects of war on women. One student said of her speech ‘She’ll make an amazing visiting professor. So honoured to hear her inaugural lecture at LSE on sexual violence, rape, working w/ refugees’
