George Clooney’s father has spoken out about the arrival of his grandchildren. He said ‘They’re absolutely beautiful’ while speaking to the television show Good Morning Britain. He went on to say ‘I’m supposed to be a reporter, therefore observant, but I really don’t know how to describe one beautiful baby from another beautiful baby – these are two beautiful babies.’
Speaking about his son’s relationship with Amal, Mr Clooney said that George has married an incredible and he thought that his son had definitely married up. Nick added that he is looking forward to being very hands on with the new arrivals and he will change nappies with humour and joy.
Speaking about the intense media interest in the birth of the twins Nick said ‘They have sent good wishes, they have kept attentive watch on this event as it unfolded and we have been aware of that and we have really been very, very grateful, thank you.’ Amal gave birth to a girl named Ella and a boy named Alexander on Tuesday at a London hospital.
A statement released by the couple read ‘This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives.’ They added ‘Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days.’
