Paris Jackson has paid an emotional birthday tribute to her late father – Michael Jackson. Today would have been the pop singer’s 59th birthday has he not died of a drug overdose back in 2009 at the age of just 51. Paris shared her thoughts with her millions of fans on social media saying that he gave her solid morals to live by.
The post on Instagram read ‘birthday wishes to the love of my life, the one person who showed me what passion truly was, the one that gave me solid morals to live by and how to dream. i will never feel love again the way i did with you. you are always with me and i am always with you. though i am not you, and you are not me, i know with all of my being that we are one. and our souls will never change in that way.’
The actress, who is currently on location shooting the series Stars, also shared fan art of her father. The picture depicted Michael’s ghost kissing her forehead.
Despite having both an older and younger brother, Paris has spoken in the past about how her father favoured her. ‘Growing up, I was treated as the favorite because I was the only girl.’ She also hit back at the rumour that the Thriller singer wasn’t her biological father. ‘He is my father. He will always be my father. He never wasn’t, and he never will not be.’
