She came to the attention of the world when her sister, Kate Middleton, married Prince William and become the Duchess of Cambridge. But now it’s time for Pippa Middleton to be the centre of marital attention as she announces her engagement to long time boyfriend James Matthew.
James and Pippa have been dating for several years now and the engagement was not said to be a shock to friends and family. And while Kate might have bagged the ultimate man by marrying a prince, Pippa hasn’t done too badly for herself either. Her husband to be, who is a hedge fund manager in the City of London, bought her a ring worth around a staggering $250,000.
Pippa has been spotted out wearing the ring several times since the announcement and even wore it on her morning jog around the British capital earlier today. It also seems that the family are just as thrilled for Pippa as they were for Kate. A statement by father Mike read ‘Carole and I are absolutely thrilled with the news. They make a wonderful couple and we wish them every happiness together.’
Kate and William were also quick to share their joy at the news adding ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are absolutely delighted with the news.’
