He might be considered one of Hollywood’s sexiest up and coming stars and also be dating of the most beautiful women in the world, Taylor Swift, but it seems that actor Tom Hiddleston is out of the race to be the new face of fashion brand Armani.
Tom was hotly tipped to be the new face of the fashion label’s new winter underwear collection has apparently been dropped because of his relationship with Swift. The bosses changed their minds after they thought it would be considered embarrassing after the previous face of the campaign was Swift’s ex-boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris.
A fashion source with inside knowledge of the business revealed that ‘Tom was on the shortlist as they examined who could take over from Calvin. Obviously, with Tom now being Taylor’s other half and the Calvin past deal, it would generate huge media coverage and headlines.’ It seems that they feel like they could tarnish the well-respected Armani brand if Tom was signed up as their new underwear model.
Tom has been propelled into the spotlight since he began dating Taylor but it seems that the actor is able to deal perfectly well with his new found fame. When asked if the attention bothered him, he responded ‘I don’t know, it comes down to being authentic.’
