While it might seem that movie stars are constantly looking younger and younger, it seems that aging hasn’t escaped Mel Gibson who has spoken out about the difficulties of getting older.
The actor who burst onto the Hollywood scene when he was a fresh faced23-year-oldd is now 60 and admits that getting old is no fun due to the physical strain it takes on your body. He said ‘Oh my god. I get up at five or six in the morning and – owww – I’m crawling across the floor like a duck-shot dog trying to get to the shower. The revelations came in an interview that the actor gave to Good Weekend. He added ‘I feel I’m pretty physical, so that’s good, but I have aches, pains, bad back, the whole deal. But you’ve just got to ignore it, right? We’re all going one way.’
Australian-born Gibson is well known to the world for his roles in movies such as Braveheart and The Passion of the Christ. He also starred in four of the Lethal Weapon films. And while he may be admired as an actor he is a controversial figure who has made several offensive remarks which have lead many to question his ethics. He has been widely accused of being homophobic, racist and antisemitic.
