She is known for her outspoken opinions and her outlandish behaviour. And Janice Dickinson was proving that cancer was not going to change that as the star strutted her stuff on the red carpet this week, just weeks after having surgery for breast cancer.
The model was attending the opening of a new store in LA – Courtney Allegra VIP and seemed more than happy to pose for photographers on the red carpet and chat to journalists about her recent cancer ordeal. The Next Top Model judge was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. In an interview with British chat show This Morning just weeks ago, the star admitted that the experience of undergoing treatment was harrowing. She said ‘I went through 6 months radiation which was very harrowing,’ the first supermodel shared of her treatment.’
The model also credited her husband to her optimistic attitude to beating the disease. He himself is a qualified pharmacist. Janice said she is optimistic about the future now that her treatment has finished and she is free of cancer, though she conceded that it was difficult when she was first diagnosed.
‘In the beginning, I was in just a state of numbness. I just walked around just feeling numb. I was afraid for my children. They were very, very upset. The radiation is over. I’m cancer free. Cancer-schmancer!’
