Bowie dominates Brit Awards

It may have been over a year since he passed away, but David Bowie still dominated at last night’s Brit Awards, which were held in London. Bowie won the acolade for best British male and also scooped the award for best album. The awards were accepted by Bowie’s son Duncan.

Duncan said ‘I lost my dad last year and I also became a dad’. He went on to say spent a lot of time after getting over the shock thinking what would I like my son to know about his granddad.
It would be he has always been there supporting people who thought they were a little bit weird, strange, different. He’s always been there for them, this award is for all the kooks and all the people that make the kooks.’

However, that wasn’t all Duncan had to say. He later took to Twitter to add that he had forgotten to say ‘f*** cancer’ in his acceptance speech on behalf of his late father. There was also an emotional tribute to George Michael who passed away on Christmas Day aged just 53.
