The star revealed that the first time she attended the awards back in 2009 she was seriously ill with the flu!
Speaking to radio host Nick Grimshaw on his breakfast show, the singer told him how Natalia Imbruglia found her vomiting on the floor in the bathroom. She said ‘The first time I went to the BRITs I had a flu of maybe 102, and I was so sick and I walked the carpet and they were like “You can’t go home” as they knew I was gonna win, and I was like, “Why am I here, I’m literally dying”.
Despite selling millions of records all over the world, Perry has revealed how she still gets incredibly nervous performing in front of fellow singers at television awards.
