He might be the talk of Hollywood due to the scandal surrounding his new film La La Land but yesterday was all about Ryan Gosling’s partner, Eva Mendes, as the pair were out celebrating the actress’s birthday. The pair who met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines were spotted out with friends and family in LA to mark Mendes turning 43. Ryan is significantly younger than Mendes at just 36.
The couple who aren’t married seem unlikely to tie the knot anytime soon after Mendes commented back in 2007 that marriage seemed archaic. She said I don’t wanna have kids… I love the little suckers. They’re so cute. But I love sleep so much, and I worry about everything. I feel like the institution of marriage is a very archaic kinda thing. I don’t think it fits in my world today.’
Gosling is himself a modern man and has spoken out about how he is a feminist, especially since he has had children who are daughters. ‘I do have a little girl now and (feminism is) important to me. These things are becoming… not more important to me, but more important in general, I think.
