Abba reunite for one night only

Swedish pop group sensation Abba have reunited for their first performance in 30 years. The gathering, which was held on Sunday, marks the 50th anniversary since the meeting of Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson. But is fans were hoping for a reunion then they will be disappointed as the outing was for the celebration only with the female members preferring to stay out of the spotlight.

The group, who are now all in their late sixties and early seventies, have had a chequered past.
Björn and Agnetha were married for 9 years between 1971 and 1980. While the marriage of Benny and Frida lasted just two years in the late eighties. The band were, and remain, one of the most popular and successful pop groups of all time. After winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 in the British town of Brighton, the band went on to have a number of worldwide hits including The Winner Takes it All and Waterloo (the song which won them the contest).

Their music has since been adapted into a musical and latterly into a musical starring Meryl Streep and Colin Firth. The founders and song writers Benny and Björn are now said to be worth a cool $230 million each.
