In the world of celebrity marriages often don’t make it past the first year but David and Victoria Beckham have defied the odds and today are celebrating their 17th wedding anniversary. They might when Victoria was a member of the Spice Girls and went on to wed in a spectacular ceremony in Ireland.
The couple expressed their love for each other in a series of touching messages on Twitter. David said of his wife ‘we have created 4 beautiful children that I couldn’t wish for a more loving and caring mummy for them… Happy anniversary I love u.’ Victoria also published an equally moving tribute to her husband ‘the kindest man who inspires me every day… Happy Anniversary to the best husband and daddy in the world!! EVER!’
Though their relationship has not been without its difficulties. In 2004 there were widespread claims that David had an affair with Rebecca Loos. However, he said that claims were totally ‘ludicrous’.
The couple who are colloquially known as Posh and Becks have four children together. The youngest being Harper, their only girl, who is four and the oldest is Brooklyn who is 16. In recent years Brooklyn has become a star in his own right from his several modelling campaigns and has thousands of followers on Twitter.
