They might have been all about girl power but it seems that relationships are not so sisterly between the Spice Girls these days as Mel C threatens to Sue the other girls if they have a reunion without her.
The shocking revelation comes after Mel B, Geri and Emma announced that they are to reunite to celebrate the band’s twentieth anniversary. However, if reports are to be believed Mel C is not happy about the trio reforming and is consulting lawyers about potentially stopping the reunion. Though the move seems a little odd given that she, along with former Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, declined to take part in the reunion celebrations.
According to a source close to the girls ‘Mel has told the other girls she is consulting lawyers about whether the reunion can go ahead without her. She believes she brought music credibility to the group and there is no Spice Girls without her.’ It is also said that they briefly thought about performing under the name ‘GEM’, the initials of their names but decided to stick with the Spice brand instead.
This reunion would mark nine years since the band last performed together on a world tour. Though they did perform together for a one-off appearance at the London Olympics closing ceremony 4 years ago.
