It may have been months since the drama which unfolded in Kim Kardashian’s hotel room but that doesn’t mean that the ordeal is over – far from it! The latest revelation in the bizarre jewellery heist is that the stolen goods have all been melted down to avoid them been traced and the perpetrators caught. The only piece stolen from the hotel room which is said not to have been melted down in Kim’s engagement ring which she was given by her husband Kanye West. The ring is said to be worth over $4 million.
The suspect, who has been apprehended by French Police said that ‘so that the jewels wouldn’t be recognised, we took a joint decision to melt them down’. He went on to say ‘One of us took care of that…. He came back with bars… Altogether there must have been a bit more than 800 grammes.’ A transcript of the interview was recently leaked to a French newspaper revealing the details of what happened to the jewellery.
The suspect also maintains that those who carried out the heist did so with respect for the victims and never intended to hurt Kim who was in the hotel room in Paris at the time of the robbery. Questions are still being asked about how he made it past the extensive security team who were guarding Kim at the time.
