Cody Walker says next Fast and Furious to be filmed in Australia as he praises late brother

Cody Walker, the brother of the late actor Paul Walker, has revealed that the next instalment of The Fast and the Furious franchise will be set in Australia. Cody was attending a charity event in honour of his brother when he made the announcement.

Speaking about the location of the film, which will be number nine, he said ‘The fans deserve Fast And The Furious 9 down here. It’s always somewhere new and they haven’t been here yet. It’s long overdue.’ He also revealed that actor Vin Diesel who stars in the movies is very keen on shooting the next instalment down under. Cody praised Australia, saying that the Australian fans are some of the most loyal in the world. ‘I love Australia, It’s great to be here again. The amount of support and the loyalty of the fans to Paul, the franchise and Reach Out Worldwide is so great.’

Cody also hinted that he might make an appearance in film number nine. He appeared in the seventh movie playing his brother’s role as he died while the film was being shot. Paul died following a car crash in California two years ago. There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the accident though it is thought that the driver of the car was going considerably over the speed limit.
