Lady Gaga has sent her support to Selena Gomez after she revealed that she was suffering from lupus. Just moments after the singer revealed that she has had a kidney transplant because of the disease on Instagram, Gaga said ‘Prayers & love to @selenagomez you are a warrior princess.’ She added that she thought Selena was an inspiration. Many of her other fans were also quick to share their support.
Selena told her fans about her illness via social media. ‘I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you.’ Lupus is a disease which is not very well understood by the medical profession and can effect various parts of the body from the skin to the internal organs.
Lady Gaga has also had health problems this week. The Born This Way singer had to cancel her concert in Brazil earlier this week after suffering from a mystery illness. The singer said on Twitter that she was in severe pain. ‘I was taken to the hospital its not simply hip pain or wear & tear from tour, I’m in severe pain.’
