Harry Style’s album has rocketed to the top of the charts in its first well of release. The One Direction star’s debut album has sold over 57,000 copies. The numbers include physical sales, downloads and streaming. The news comes just a few weeks after Styles knocked fellow Brit, Ed Sheeran, from the top of the singles chart with his new song Sign of the Times. Sheeran remains at number two, with Rag’N’Bone Man in at third with his album – Human. Styles is the second One Direction star to release a hit album following Zayn Malik’s Mind Of Mine which was released last April.
In a controversial move, former bandmate Liam Payne has claimed that Harry’s new song is ‘not something he would listen to.’ However, when it came to Niall he was full of praise. ‘Niall had Slow Hands out and This Town, which is great, Niall’s gone down the singer-songwriter route which is really cool.’ He added that he thought that Harry wouldn’t be interested in his style of music.
