Rosie O’Donnell might be one of America’s biggest stars but the TV stalwart has opened up about the custody issues over her three-year-old daughter, Dakota. The shocking revelation came during a question and answer session which Rosie hosts on her website.
When she was asked about the custody set up with her ex-wife, Michelle Rounds, she confessed that in fact she now had sole custody of their child. This comes only 8 months after it was revealed that they were in fact sharing joint legal custody of Dakota.
Rosie’s has been married twice and her last divorce was finalised this March. The TV host has spoken out about the fact that she will never get married again. Over the weekend she shared a post on social media celebrating American Independence Day. However, the post also seemed to have a personal relevance to the star who is enjoying life as a single lady. She said ‘Independence feels amazing – happy July 4th.’
O’Donnell rose to fame in the eighties after appearing on a talent TV show as a stand-up comedian. She then moved into television and become known to millions for hosting her famous chat show. She is one of the most high-profile lesbians in America and campigns for LGBT rights.
