Michael Buble receives honor and speaks of son’s cancer

Michael Buble has spoken in public for the first time about his son’s battle with cancer. The singer was attending the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards in his native Canada. The 41-year-old said that the word ‘love’ isn’t enough to describe how he feels about his family following Noah’s diagnosis.

Speaking at the event Buble said My entire life has been inspired by how my family has made me feel – my wife, my children, my parents, my sisters. There are no words to describe how I feel about you. Sometimes “I love you” just isn’t enough because what I feel is so much more.’ He went on to say that he was humbled to receive the musical honour, adding that it was especially pertinant giving the difficult time that his family was going through.

He continued ‘I thank you for the love and support that you’ve given and for the pride I’m filled with every single time I’m able to stand on a stage and say, “My name is Michael Steven Bublé and I’m Canadian.’ Buble’s wife spoke a few months ago about her relief at her son’s recovery after he was disganosed with cancer in November last year. Noah is expected to make a full recovery with Buble making a return to music in the coming months.
