The news came to light in court this week when it was revealed that the singer only has the small amount of cash left her company account called Moneyspider Productions.
A source told a British newspaper that people may be very surprised that Mel has such little cash. ‘Mel is an international superstar, still working as a judge on America’s Got Talent, but she only has a small amount of money in the bank, according to Companies House.’
The pop star also has stakes in other companies, including a 20% stake in Spice Girls Limited which was recently valued at a little over $100,000.
