Tom Hanks speaks emotionally about childhood

Tom Hanks has given an emotional account of his childhood while speaking to Kirsty Young on the British radio show Desert Island Discs. After being quizzed about his parent’s breakup by the BBC presenter the actor seemed lost for words before adding ‘what have you done to me’ after a long pause.

The Da Vinci Code star went on to say ‘we were confused because no one explained anything to us. No one said, ‘Hey listen, you guys are great.’ He described his tumultuous childhood in detail and explained that he has lived in ten homes in as many years.

We all love him as Forest Gump and multiple other Hollywood roles and it seems the actor is busier than ever. So it’s no surprise that he was taking a little downtime to spend some quality time with his wife. The pair were spotted at a restaurant in LA, with Hanks, 59, looking dapper in a dark navy suit.

Tom’s actress wife, Rita, recently announced that she has had a double mastectomy after having a breast cancer-related health scare. However, all seems well now and she looked the picture of health in a stunning gown while out on the dinner date with Tom.
