She is more used to judging others on hit TV show Dancing With The Stars but all eyes were firmly on Julianne Hough at the weekend as she married NHL Brooks Laich in a lavish ceremony in Idaho. The dancer told People Magazine that she had never thought about her wedding as a girl. She said ‘I don’t think I ever really necessarily dreamed about my wedding as a kid.’ Adding ‘But I know I will always cherish and remember it for the rest of my life.’
the wedding was designed by Troy Williams and was attended by the great and good of television including stars such as Nina Dobrev and Julianne’s dancer brother Derek Hough. The wedding comes two years after the pair announced their engagement. Speaking in the past to E News, Julianne said that the pair both knew from the moment that they met that it was going to be something special. ‘When I met him it was kind of like, Yeah, I knew and I think he knew too.’
Despite Laich, who most recently played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, living a very private life, he couldn’t help but share his thoughts about Julianne with the world. ‘I don’t want to get into a whole lot of it; I’m kind of shy on my personal life. But she’s a cool, cool gal. She’s just a sweetheart, very loving, very giving. She puts so much great out into the world. I’m a pretty lucky guy.’
