Last night saw celebrities take to the red carpet to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art at the MET Gala. However, it wasn’t just about the fashion, there was plenty of gossip from the evening. Kendall Jenner and A$AP Rocky used the high-profile event to confirm that they are officialy dating.
Kim Kardashian announced the news via social media – despite the fact that the event has banned selfies on the red carpet. The couple were first rumoured to be dating last year when they were spotted out having dinner in Los Angeles. Since their first sighting they have been spotted at a string of high-profile events, most recently at Cochella.
The 21-year-old look stunning as she walked the red carpet in a sheer dress that wasembossed with thousands of tiny crystals. The dress was part of the La Perla Haute Couture Collection and designed by Julia Haart. Speaking of the dress the designer said ‘I was inspired by Rei Kawakubo’s concept of ‘un-fabric’ and her ability to create movement out of seemingly immobile materials.’
This is the first time that the event has focused on one designer since the event honoured Yves Saint Laurent back in 1983. The museum where the gala is held is currently diaplaying 120 Comme des Garçons designs by Kawakubo.
