Jonah Hill had to be hospitalized for snorting fake coke on Wolf of Wall Street set

While Hollywood might seem like an eternally glamorous world, that really wasn’t that case for Jonah Hill when he was filing the Wolf of Wall Street. The actor has spoken out about how he was admitted to hospital because of the amount of FAKE cocaine that he has to snort in the making of the film.

The actor was playing banker Donnie Azoff in the 2013 blockbuster and the part involved Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio pretending to snort many lines of cocaine. Speaking on a talk show the actor said ‘I had to be hospitalised. If you ingest that much matter into your lungs you’ll get very sick, and we were literally doing fake coke for, like, seven months, every day. I never had more vitamin D in my entire life; I could have lifted a car over my f***ing head!’

When speaking of pretending to be high on screen the actor said that he drinks many energy drinks and also listens to music which gets him pumped up and in the mood. He said ‘it’s interesting pretending to be on drugs. I use music. I’ll make a playlist for every scene, so I’ll try to make, like, music that (made me feel) jittery and chaotic … and then just drink a ton of coffee and Red Bull.’
